What You'll Learn

This PracticeLab quiz helps you revisit the essential concepts that guide safe, quality practice. Answer the questions, read the explanations, and build confidence in the knowledge you bring to your role.

  1. 1

Your Health and Safety Duties as an Independent Contractor

Understand how the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 applies to you as a sole practitioner, including what duties you hold for your own safety and the limits of what your Supplier is responsible for.

  2. 2

Safe Service Locations and Working Alone

Apply the Service Schedule requirements for safe premises to your day-to-day practice, including how to assess and manage risks when delivering services in dispersed or isolated locations without direct organisational oversight.

  3. 3

    Managing risks and incidents

Providers as contractors are expected to identify and manage workplace risks that they can't eliminate and incidents that occur. Risks and controls must be regularly monitored and addressed as they change.

  4. 4

Evidence of Health and safety management

It is important that Provider can evidence that risks associated with the contracted services have been identified and assessed and can detail controls implemented to eliminate or minimise risks.
