Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 March 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Good Practice Hub (goodpracticehub.com), operated by The Policy Place (New Zealand). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are using Good Practice Hub on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms on their behalf.
2. The service
Good Practice Hub provides online practice quizzes, evidence tracking (ProofKit), and team dashboards designed for health and community service organisations across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
The service is provided as a learning and evidence tool. It does not constitute legal advice, professional accreditation, or formal certification. Organisations remain responsible for meeting their own regulatory and compliance obligations.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
Your account is personal to you. Your practice history, ProofKit, and quiz progress belong to you and are portable — they are not owned by any organisation you may be associated with.
4. Free and paid plans
StartSmart (Free)
StartSmart provides access to core induction practice quizzes at no cost. Free accounts include a ProofKit, completion tracking, and access to role-relevant induction content. The free plan is available indefinitely (“free forever”) subject to these terms.
PracticeLab Pro (Paid)
PracticeLab Pro provides access to the full practice library, detailed analytics, and advanced team features. Subscriptions are billed annually at the rate displayed at checkout. Prices are in NZD unless otherwise stated.
Subscriptions auto-renew annually. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer partial refunds for unused subscription periods.
Organisation subscriptions
Organisations may purchase PracticeLab Pro for their team members on a per-seat basis. The organisation administrator manages team membership and is responsible for payment. If an organisation’s subscription lapses, team members revert to the free plan but retain their personal practice history and ProofKit.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others or allow others to use your account.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data.
- Interfere with the operation of the service or its infrastructure.
- Copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit our quiz content without permission.
- Use automated tools to scrape content or data from the service.
6. Intellectual property
All quiz content, course materials, branding, and software on Good Practice Hub are owned by The Policy Place or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
Your ProofKit and practice data belong to you. You may download, share, and use your ProofKit for any lawful purpose (e.g., audits, job applications, professional development records).
7. Organisation dashboards and data
Organisation administrators can view their team members’ quiz progress, completion status, and scores. This data is provided to support induction tracking and compliance obligations.
Organisation administrators are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate grounds (e.g., employment relationship, volunteer agreement) to access their team members’ practice data.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Good Practice Hub available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the service from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that affect your use.
We may add, modify, or retire quiz content at any time. Your completed quiz records and ProofKit remain valid regardless of content changes.
9. Limitation of liability
Good Practice Hub is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for decisions made by organisations based on data from their Team Dashboard.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. Where possible, we will notify you first and give you an opportunity to remedy the breach.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Anonymised analytics data may be retained.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand, unless otherwise required by local consumer protection laws (e.g., for Australian users, the courts of their state or territory).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
